I keep seeing a lot of posts about how Potterheads have nothing to look forward to in 2012. Let’s keep our chins up, guys! We may not have another movie or book to look forward to, but we definitely have a lot of fun stuff!

THINGS POTTERHEADS HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN 2012:

1. Pottermore expanding and finally opening to the public (and ebooks!)

2. Wizarding World in California!

3. Expansion of Wizarding World Orlando!

4. Getting to see our lovely cast in other projects (Perks of Being a Wallflower, Woman in Black..etc)

5. OSCARS. Maybe this year, Potter will finally win something.

6. Warner Brothers studio tour in UK!

7. We still have the special editions of the books and dvds to look forward to!

8. All of the wonderful graphics and gifs the artists on tumblr continue to make!

9. We will have time to devote to our other fandoms (I mean, who isn’t excited for the Hunger Games movie??)

10. Who knows, maybe JKR will write another book. (Even if it isn’t Potter).

2011 was a year for me. I started to try to figure out who I am. I made new friends. I turned 19. I declared my dance major. I read a number of really amazing books that I now consider among my favorites. This was a year for the Starkids. You guys were with me through the release of Starship, the AVP3 rumors, and watching Darren make it big time. This was a year for the Gleeks. Well, mostly just the Klainers ;) This was a year for the Tributes. We were all there when they were cast. You guys screamed with me when we saw the first teasers for the Hunger Games movie to be released next year. When Jennifer Lawrence announced the first trailer at the VMAs. When we saw Katniss come to life for the first time. 2012 is gonna be a big one for us. And finally, this was of course a year for the Potterheads. This was it, the last call, the end of an era. You guys were with me through the release of the final movie, through liveblogging the Deathly Hallows Part 2 world premiere, sobbing from when the Warner Brothers logo came up on the screen for the last time to when they played “Leaving Hogwarts” 19 years later. You were there with me through the Pottermore announcements, and of course, through the coveted Romione kiss. In the words of JK Rowling, Hogwarts will always be here to welcome us home. I hope that tumblr remains a safe haven for crazy Harry Potter fans for years to come. Keep Calm, we’re marching on. This year, I also created a tumblr. I just wanted to show everybody which blogs really stuck out to me this year, and which ones made my first year on tumblr a spectacular one. I can’t wait for 2012.
